Pans People - Our Story

Written by Babs Powell, Cherry Gillespie, Dee Dee Wilde, Ruth Pearson and freelance writer Simon Barnard and released in November 2013. This is the story the girls who were The Beat Girls and who became the UK's leading dance troupe and the pin ups of many a 15 year old in 70's Britain.

The book highlights there careers in interview format and touches on their involvement in the 1974 London Rainbow Tull, Warchild concerts, a series of gigs I was lucky enough to have seem, Tull and Pans People...it was almost too much!

I was lucky enough to have been invited to attend a small gathering with three of the girls in conversation to launch the book, even luckier to have met them and chatted along with a couple of other notables including Robert Powell the actor and husband of Babs.
