Glenn Cornick

This is not news really since the Jethro Tull online community is awash with reports, eulogy's and good thoughts for Glenn, who's death was reported yesterday.

This is just a few words, from a few people who only knew Glenn from the margins, through his playing with Tull and other bands and for his kindness in dealing with Tull fans from across the spectrum of groups that exist. Something he did with a great deal of humour and warmth.

Members of the Jethro Tull Group had been in touch with Glenn in the months before his illness to bring him to the NY Fan Convention in November 2014. The plan was for him to play with Jethro Tull Group member Erin's band at the convention. It was a big deal for Erin, as well as Steve who was going to guest on flute at the same gig. It was a big deal for Charlie and I as we were only to proud to have been part of a team to have brought Glenn back to the fans that love him and his playing.

Sadly, that won't happen now, but we can be pleased that as much as it would have been a big deal for us, it was something that we know Glenn was looking forward to with relish as well. To be amongst fans who appreciated him and his craft.

Glenn was open in sharing his memorabilia amongst  fans, an approach we'd like to continue with here as best we can.

For Glenn, RIP

From all of us at The Boy Scout Manual and The Jethro Tull Group
